Over the past three years, LinkedIn’s active user base has grown by 27%, from 500 million in 2018 to 740 million in 2021. Business owners and entrepreneurs can leverage the platform to develop their brand, generate new leads, establish partnerships and build relationships. .
The following seven ways can help you use LinkedIn to grow your brand and gain a competitive advantage over your competition.
1. Optimize your business profile and connect with people
If you haven’t worked on your LinkedIn profile, please take the time to perfect it. Make sure it provides all the essential details about your business’s products and services. Put more emphasis on the title and summary to make sure they’re compelling, engaging, interesting, and professional. Plus, optimize it for more B2B and B2C lead generation.
In no time, you will start to see the “Someone has viewed your profile” notification. Don’t just check out their profile. Instead, follow people who have viewed your business profile. If this is an ideal prospect, invite them to connect. Someone viewing your business profile is likely to learn more about your brand. They may also be interested in your products or services.

2. Post valuable content on the LinkedIn publisher
You can use LinkedIn Publisher to post blog posts that users can interact with and share. With more shares from your blogs, the greater the impact on your brand growth. The publication can also interest prospects in your products, triggering an open door for more partnerships.
Make a habit of posting content on LinkedIn regularly, but remember that quality is key. It can create a community of loyal followers who admire your brand. Through them, you have ambassadors who can build a good reputation for your business. 3. Follow other companies
Remember to keep up with other businesses in your industry, including those you have partnered with and those that may be potential partners. This way you have a chance to learn more about them and what they offer. However, don’t limit yourself to digging around, as it could open your eyes to some techniques that other companies use to get more leads. In addition, the more you position yourself in the market, the more likely you are to obtain more returns.

The right groups can be a very powerful tool in building your brand. Using the advanced search, you can locate practitioners in your industry and practice. Group conversations can give you vital information about your industry. You can also learn about emerging industry challenges and the options you can use to resolve those issues.
As a group, learn the rules for whether content sharing is allowed. If so, build your credibility by sharing relevant content that captures potential prospects. It can include links to articles about your brand, relevant blog posts, event notices for webinars, and articles citing your business. However, make sure that the documents you post are a useful source and avoid dominating the conversation.

LinkedIn can be an even more powerful lead generation tool on its own when you use add-ons. Tap into the following plugins:
- LinkedIn Connection Developer: The LinkedIn Connection Revealer shows you the following that your connections have. By identifying users who travel in large circles, you can engage with them to leverage their platform and promote your brand.
- LinMailPro: This is a Chrome extension that allows you to automatically find and invite people who have recently viewed your profile. You can also send them personalized messages about your brand or broadcast marketing messages.
- Headlining: You might have sponsored a great story, posted ads, or posted articles, but without a great title your potential targets might not click on it. When you use Headlinr, a paid Chrome plugin, it automatically generates multiple combinations of titles with the keyword you specify based on your industry. You will get compelling headlines that will get people to click on your ads and stories.
- Report: If you are a Gmail user browsing Chrome or Firefox, Rapportive can be a handy tool to get more leads. It allows you to get LinkedIn profiles which have email addresses in your contacts. You can then send them personalized invitations to their inbox to help you grow your network.
6. Create a sponsored InMail campaign
By using sponsored InMail campaigns, you have an easier way to get rid of clutter and reach the inboxes of the people who matter to your business. You can send your target prospects attractive offers and rich content.
7. Ask your employees to publish your company’s content
In most cases, entrepreneurs are looking for strong brand advocates who can share their case studies and brand blogs. However, you can also do it through your employees.
