MONTGOMERY, Alabama (WSFA) – The unusually wet pattern will continue to continue. There will again be numerous scattered showers and thunderstorms today.
Like yesterday, it won’t rain all day in one place. But your chances of getting wet at some point in the day are very high, around 70%.
Another day with unusually high chances of rain (60%) is on its way for Wednesday. Again it won’t rain from start to finish, but there is a good chance you will see rain and / or thunderstorms at least once during the day.
With the expected rain cover and increasing cloudiness, high temperatures in most places will be stuck at or below 85 degrees today and tomorrow.
Chances of rain should decrease to end the week. For the period from Thursday to Sunday, we are only talking about coverage of about 40%. This is at the top of the range that is considered “normal” for the summer.
On Sunday and Monday we may see mostly dry days! This is what most long range models suggest at this point!
Temperatures will return to the upper 80s and lower 90s as the chances of rain decrease a bit. We may even be heading into the mid-90s by the end of the extended forecast period.
